someone in
americanidol has a question of opinion about last night's "Shout to the Lord" performance.
Arguments ensue.....
missladyvenus suggests that the contestants should feel obligated to sing that song due to being in the "Christian country".

*busting a gut over the idea of protestants merging*
At least not before marriage!
Anytime someone starts a statement with, "As a (fill in the blank)" you know they're about to start spouting crap. "Hey, I'm on this team! That gives me credibility!" If your opinion can't stand without a group affiliation to prop it up, it's a pretty lame opinion.

I reuploaded this icon for this occasion.
The USA is founded on Christianity. It's a national fact and metioned that we are freed to practice other religions. Our core religion is Christianity.*twitch*
How hard is it to pick up a damn history book? How about read what our Constitution says? The government can neither create its own religion, or endorse one religion over another. We have never had an "official" or "core" religion in this country. What we've had is asshats who ignore the Founding Fathers' vision for our country.
